Matt Lyons is an online personality, self-proclaimed cringe comedian, and somewhat of an outdoorsmen. Growing up in the adventure capital of Connecticut, Matt has devoted his time to creating outdoor-oriented comedy skits, adventuring on long-distance hiking trails all over the United States, and starting a line of clothing by the name of Frontcountry Apparel. The nickname, or trail name "Schmutz" was given to him on the Appalachian Trail in 2019.
In the early days of the 2020 pandemic, Matt began posting to his social media and quickly grew his following to well over 400,000 followers across platforms. His style of video plays on tropes revolving around various outdoor activities and destinations.

Matt resides in Boston, Massachusetts but hopes to eventually move to a town with more than 15 feet of elevation change. It's commonly questioned whether Matt is 15 or 45 years of age. While we might not know the exact number, we do know that he's been having an identity crisis for the past year or so. Known to some as Matt, and to others as names like Flyrod, Molasses, or Hypoxia, only time will tell if he's able to find his true self.
